i dont know if you got the baby yet, but for my own tiniest one, i pre-kill little lateralis roaches. smoosh the heads or get them kinda non-moving and pop one in the container. i know that you could probably keep a little one in the container they come in,( i hate deli containers of any kind for some reason), and for that reason, i moved both of mine (under 1.5 inches, one is about .25, possibly smaller then that) into a small "cube" i got from the container store. its 3 inches tall and about 2 inches across. mine have never climbed, they just dig their houses out. i put a small arched cork bark (i drill out a "cave" so they can burrow and i drilled air holes at the top but thats thats about it. you have a bit more control with where they are at in the container, you can see them through it, and you can watch them kinda grow too. more roomy. OH...yeah the price of the LP is a few dollars higher from you local guy, but in the long run, you are saving money when you pick up or meet halfway to pick up. just depends on how much you really want the LP. lol.

I did get the LP last week and a few others. It already takes small cricket its own size. I have not gotten into roaches yet but I need to look into that. I did re-house the LP and a curly hair but the other are still just to small so they are in vial still. Here is a pick of my T shelves.

3 vials on top from left to right is my OBT, Cameroon rusty red, Costa Rican Red, and 2 empty. On the bottem left to right is my Curly Hair, Pink Salmon Bird Eater, and my Chaco.

defiantly they can eat their own weight. lol. im glad you did tho...mine is a little skiddish, but i have never had a hair-kicking issue, and she only threat-posed once. lol. i was re-doing her hide and she did not like it at all. im in need of getting shelves. my set up is not working at all. you have a nice set up. basic and kinda pretty. lol.

i actually went to the dealers web site. they have a sp. flagstaff orange that i want, unsexed, but my own local seller has one for 65.00, and a female at 4 inches. i did the math and its cheaper for me to get it from her. lol. shipping is what kills me. lol.

Well it works for slings but not much else. I got it all cheap too. The lights were .50 each with batteries and the vine is from a dollar store. I found the shelve at my parents and they let me have it. It was my grandfathers so that is makes it even better. I had nothing of his till now.

My LP is grumpy!!! Little thing was already threatening me. But now that he is out of the little cup and in a bigger place he hides under a leaf with his head in the ground and ignores me now.

LOL! I LOVE LPs! I have 2 slings. They both hide under their leaf, and the bigger one jumps out at me, Ninja style whenever I open his home. He just stands there, not threatening, but not retreating either.
...I guess nobody told him that he's not all that big yet...

Also I am taking back my H. Mac that died and getting a replacement today and thinking about getting a 2" Phormictopus cancerides - "Haitian Brown" for only $25 as well.
