      Juvenile Arboreal Home test

I found these at Michaels craft store on clearance for $3.50, so i had to give it a shot.
      They are 5" x 5" x 10"

I did not like the pastel blue color, so i painted it a dark midnight blue

I used silicone on everything metal inside and added a piece of plexi on the front to hold in the substrate.
Added a cork bark back and elevated water dish (gave it a natural look by gluing cork bark to it)

      and wallah....juvie A. urticans home.

Now i just need to find a much bigger one for when it is full grown, as i think this passed the test.

Anyone see any problems that might arise with this setup? It will be a few more molts before i rehouse, so i have time to tinker.
Not enough time, money or structural support for all the tanks and critters i want

      Wow, that is nice!

You did good by repainting it.... I would not care for the pastel blue either. It looks totally different with the new color.

Love the waterdish!!!! I think you did very well with this.

Did you add ventilation holes? or are the panes made of glass?

Looks like the vent on the top is open to the main enclosure.
      I love it, something unique.
I would be mindful of the gaps in the door and the size of the holes in the vent cap in relation to the size of the T you put in it. They can squeeze through amazingly tight spaces.

Relax! Take it easy. This is not an instantaneous hobby. It's a long term "getting to know you" sort of thing. There's plenty of time, perhaps a whole lifetime, to enjoy these phenomenal creatures. Patience. One step at a time. One day at a time. No worries. -Stan Schultz

The door gaps are vary narrow and the top vent is open to the main tank area, so that should provide plenty of ventilation.

I was also concerned about the hole size on the top as well, I might make a screen to glue to the inside of the top.
That should take away the worry of escape/injury while keeping the air flow.

      Thanks for the replies

      Sadly, I can't visit any Michael's Stores.........

I ALWAYS leave them with very empty pockets!

I saw a very similar container at Big Lots a few weeks ago and was really tempted to buy it and do the exact same thing. Now that I see your end results, I'm even more tempted!
