      T's cage

I have read the tarantula's keepers guide and read in there that you can keep a T in a plastic shoe container and it'll be fine.

so i was wondering on here if there are some people that do that or prefer a cage? what are your opinions about keeping a T in something like that?
so far only have 1 G. rosea
hopefully some time soon we'll have more

As long as it is large enough, and the lid is secure, I see no reason not to use one. I have a few ts in plastic containers. They are the ones with the lids that have the snap on things on the side to help hold the lid on top.

Same here is Tg. I have most of my Ts in plexi or glass tanks, but a few are in plastic shoeboxes with snap-on lids.

Sure you can use them. I have two of my T's in them. I am slowly upgrading to better looking cages. J!m, our Forum , makes pretty awesome cages.

I use the sterilite boxes. I prefer the clarity of glass tanks, but the plastic ones work in a pinch or if space is an issue.

Relax! Take it easy. This is not an instantaneous hobby. It's a long term "getting to know you" sort of thing. There's plenty of time, perhaps a whole lifetime, to enjoy these phenomenal creatures. Patience. One step at a time. One day at a time. No worries. -Stan Schultz

Absolutely. The plastic shoe boxes are my preferred enclosure. The newer ones are pretty clear too.

Well that's not even half of my collection. I just wanted to show you the shoebox enclosures I use for sub-adult and adult Ts.

I Get my sling and juvie containers from the container store. They have container as low as $0.99 and various sizes.
As a matter of fact I was in there the other day looking over a few containers for when I get my
      B. Albiceps and GBB.

I like them because they are clear plastic and I can see my T's easily.

I have recently purchased some inexpensive Accessory Boxes from the Container Store.
They have lots of very nice stuff there. Some are too expensive but some are very reasonable.
I also am a big fan of the Shoe boxes, which come in three different sizes, those make nice enclosures for a terrestrial species.
They even have some holes on the sides too. :-)
