So I had put together a smaller Isopod enclosure, made from a cheese balls jug, because I wanted an Isopod culture that wasn't cohabiting with Springtails, mealworms, or crix in any way. They've all been in there for about two weeks, and this morning I looked in there and thought "how did giant white Springtails get in here?!?" Then I came to my senses and realised they were tiny baby isopods! The new colony is breeding!

Pardon the lousy camera zoom, but you can see how my initial confusion could have happened. :-P

Great care sheet!!! Isopods are addicting much like tarantulas and scorpions.... Unfort not all isopods are kept the same.. some like it drier , some like it moist , some like plenty of air circulation and others don't. Dead oak and maple leaves are a favorite for isopods and porta bella mushrooms make them breed like crazy for some reason. I just love them , they are so cute !
