      Manly's Geckos

Finally getting around to posting pics of my geckos.

A week before I moved a few weeks ago, I was given 4 leopard geckos by a friend who was getting out of the leo breeding business.

      Here is my collection.

Here are the 5 girls: Geico, Godzilla, Gia, Greta, and Grezilda.

And here is the one boy I have is Gastone. I love his albino eyes.

My two originals are Godzilla and Geico (sisters).

Godzilla has apparently been blinded by sand in their tank, which has since been removed. I worried for her for awhile, fearing she would just whither and starve to death, but she has found a way to find food. I watched in amazement a few nights ago as she stood over the food bowl and could apparently hear the mealies squirm in the bowl. She would tilt her head down towards them. I did not see her eat, but based on the thickness of her tail still, she is eating.

Geico, who has never had the best eyesight is my fattest and healthiest girl.

Gia is my least appealing gecko. But she is a healthy girl.

Perhaps my favorite new gecko is Grizelda. She is a yearling, and is thus quite fast. But she is the prettiest of the new girls. I like her bolder patterns which will likely fade some as she gets bigger and older.

Thanks all. I like the last one too, as you can see by the number of the pics I posted of her.

Still, Geico is my favorite. She was smaller than her sister (Godzilla) when goronto gave them to me 4.5 years ago, but she has grown up to be the larger of the two.

I like the colors of Grizelda, save that she is on the albino side. For some reason, albinism and its forms in reptiles has never appealed to me. Give me the deeper, richer colors, like those of a young leopard gecko.

I might have to get me some fat-tailed geckos some day as they are like leos, but don't lose their colors the way leos do.

Beautiful shots, and they are all gorgeous. I like Gia because she reminds me of a fired-up Hemidactylus turcicus.

Is that the baby gecko you caught awhile back?
