      Hello all,
I had an A. versicolor sling many years back and through inexperience killed it. I am now older and wiser and am going to be trying my hand with another. Any advice is welcome 😊

      Hi CrimsonDraggen. And welcome!

So sorry to hear about your Avic versicolor sling. They can be difficult to raise.

When you say advice is welcome, are you seeking advice on raising versicolors, or advice on what new tarantula to purchase?

At any rate, feel free to ask questions. We are here to help you.

Advice on raising versicolors in particular. I've been doing a lot of research and I feel confident to try again. But any tips or tricks that may not be common knowledge would be a great help.

Hi and welcome! Avics can be tricky. Have you looked at the care sheet we have?

Hey CrimsonDraggen. Welcome to TsUS. I agree with the others about Avics being tricky to raise from slings. But versicolors are beautiful and well worth it. Tgirls advice about the care sheet is worth checking out.

I was directed to the care sheet and it helped me weed out some of the incorrect info I had picked up.

      Woohoo!

      Glad you have one now!

I too am raising one myself. She is about 2" at the moment and transitioning from the blue to the varied colors they can be.
